Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse Associate to join the District Nursing Service. You will deliver high‑quality care to housebound patients, working autonomously with support from a dedicated team, and following a competency framework.

The role requires commitment to continuous professional development, effective communication with patients and families, and flexibility to cover day/night shifts as the service requires.

Qualifications

Must hold a Registered Nurse Associate qualification and be registered with the NMC.
Ability to work autonomously with support from the wider team.
Willingness to work across day and night shifts as required by service needs.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality clinical nursing care to housebound patients, including end‑of‑life care and wound management.
Review planned care and escalate changes or concerns to registered nursing staff promptly.
Collaborate with patients, families, carers and clinical teams to ensure holistic, person‑centred care.
Contribute to service development and ongoing professional development.
