Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join the District Nursing Service in North Tyneside. Qualifications

• State Registration on Part 1 of the 3 part NMC register.
• Diploma/degree level qualification as appropriate.
• Newly qualified staff must undertake the Trust preceptorship within the first year.
• Evidence of qualification to supervise, teach and assess students (essential).

Responsibilities

• Community staff nurses work autonomously and as part of a team, delivering care to diverse patients in homes, residential care, and clinics.
• Supervise auxiliary and student nurses on placement where needed.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in line with professional standards.
