Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a 0.8 WTE post in Harrow. The role covers domiciliary and outpatient work with adults who have dysphagia and communication needs, including acquired and progressive neurological conditions.

You will join a supportive MDT, with supervision and development opportunities across community pathways and integration with local services.

Qualifications

• 0.8wte Speech and Language Therapist with experience of working with adults with acquired and progressive neurological conditions.
• Competent in both dysphagia and communication, and keen to learn and to develop assessment and rehabilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide domiciliary and outpatient assessment and therapy for adults with dysphagia and communication difficulties.
• Manage a varied specialist caseload and contribute to service development projects.
• Support supervision and development of junior colleagues.
• Be part of the SLT team that offers supervision while working autonomously in clients' homes, nursing homes and outpatient clinics.
• Engage in service development activities including research, audits and QI projects.
• Participate in regular supervision (1:1, peer supervision, appraisal) and CPD opportunities.
