Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for a fixed-term role until October 2027. You will support adults in their homes and outpatient settings across West Hertfordshire, handling dysphagia and related communication disorders with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must have strong dysphagia competency, a valid UK driving licence, and experience across acute, rehabilitation and community settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
• Dysphagia-trained to an advanced level.
• Experience with adult caseloads and dysphagia management.

Responsibilities

• Manage adults with acquired communication and swallowing needs across clinics, care homes and patients' homes in West Hertfordshire.
• Independently complete specialist assessments and develop evidence-based care plans.
• Coordinate trials or purchase of communication equipment and support use by patients and carers.
