Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) is recruiting a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Band 5 for the Harrow Adult Community SALT service. The role offers domiciliary and outpatient work, with strong links to the local MDT and a focus on patient-centred care.

You will develop dysphagia and communication skills under supervision, with opportunities for service development, audits, and research within a supportive NHS environment in London.

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree or equivalent.
• Registration with Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
• Registered member of RCSLT or equivalent professional body.
• Evidence of post-registration education/training (e.g. Stroke, Supervision).
• Member of a relevant Clinical Excellence Network.
• Evidence of competence in managing dysphagic patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat dysphagia and communication in a wide range of adult clients with complex conditions.
• Provide domiciliary and outpatient care within Harrow; contribute to service development projects.
• Support SLT students and participate in supervision arrangements.
• Engage in continuing professional development and research/audits.
• Attend instrumental assessments with patients via local hospital links.
