Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in the community, working with the District Nursing Team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for diverse patient groups.

The role requires live NMC UK pin, strong teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously within delegated duties. Driving licence preferred; salary pro rata for part-time hours and a permanent full-time contract available.

Qualifications

• Part 1 NMC Registration or 2nd Level Registration with General Nursing Experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and revalidation
• IT skills: word processing, email, internet
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work on own initiative and lead when required
• Teamwork and collaborative working with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in patients' homes and communities.
• Lead and enable the district nursing team to deliver a safe, effective service.
• Support the district nurse and be responsible for skilled nursing interventions.
• Manage delegated activities and mentor colleagues and students.
