Job summary

High Street Surgery (Lowestoft) seeks an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramediic to join our expanding primary care team. The post involves autonomous face-to-face consultations, urgent care delivery, and direct referrals using locally agreed pathways.

You will manage care with clinical judgement, supported by a multidisciplinary team, including supervision for staff. Applicants must have HCPC (Paramedic) or NMC (ANP) registration and prescribing experience where possible.

Qualifications

• Evidence of independent clinical practice in primary care settings.
• Experience managing autonomous caseloads with undifferentiated presentations.
• Knowledge of triage protocols and urgent care pathways.

Responsibilities

• Act as autonomous practitioner providing face-to-face consultations.
• Deliver urgent care and high-quality emergency assessments.
• Make direct referrals to primary, secondary and social services.
• Supply and prescribe medicines via PGDs or with GP reference.
• Provide clinical advice to reception and mentor staff.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation of patient contacts.
