Job summary

Adore Recruitment Ltd in Basildon, Essex, is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the Basildon branch. You will lead a small team, build client relationships, and drive performance with autonomy and close collaboration with senior management.

The role offers £45,000 per year with a performance bonus and a Monday–Friday 7am–4pm schedule, providing stability and clear accountability for growth and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a branch or similar operation (retail, distribution, trade counter, warehousing).
• Strong leadership and people-management skills with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• Commercially minded with ability to drive performance and service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of a busy branch, including office and warehouse activities.
• Lead, motivate and support a small team to achieve business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with customers and ensure excellent service levels.
• Manage stock, resources and operational processes efficiently.
• Support sales growth and identify opportunities to develop existing and new business.
• Monitor branch performance and implement improvements where needed.
• Recruit, train and develop team members.
• Ensure health and safety and company procedures are followed.
