Job summary

Milborne Port Surgery in Somerset is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner to join a supportive, patient‑centred team. The role is part‑time with an emphasis on maintaining excellent patient access and continuity of care, including same‑day appointments for acute problems.

The candidate will work autonomously within a well‑supported practice and hold an Independent Prescriber qualification. The practice is rural, dispensing, and part of a Primary Care Network.

Qualifications

• Must hold current UK registration (NMC/HCPC).
• Qualified or near-qualified as Independent Prescriber.
• Advanced practitioner training completed or near-complete.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Deliver same-day acute care with appropriate referrals.
• Collaborate with GP partners and other clinicians for education and support.
• Maintain patient safety and high-quality care in a team setting.
