Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join a GP practice in Potters Bar. The role suits an experienced ACP from a nursing, paramedic, or allied health background capable of autonomous clinical assessments and safe decision-making within a structured primary care setting.

You will work within an established multidisciplinary team, running your own clinics to meet both urgent and routine patient demand, with clear pathways and strong admin support to ensure

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate) required.
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar is desirable.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducting acute and same-day access clinics
• Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of undifferentiated presentations
• Telephone triage and clinical streaming
• Ordering and interpreting investigations
• Prescribing safely within scope (where qualified)
• Managing follow-up actions, results and referral workflows
• Documenting clearly using the practice clinical system
• Flexible sessions up to 4 days per week
• Morning and afternoon clinics available
