Westbridge Motor Services is a well-established, independent garage that values quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join our dedicated team in a modern, fast-paced workshop environment.

You will carry out servicing, diagnostics and MOT tests, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard. The role offers a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Current Class 4 MOT Tester qualification desirable but not essential.
• Proven experience as a vehicle technician in the motor trade.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report any additional work required.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to high standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Conducting Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Completing vehicle inspections and providing accurate reports on any additional work required.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Current Class 4 MOT Tester qualification very desirable but not a deal breaker.
• Proven experience working as a vehicle technician within the motor trade.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail, a professional approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
