Job summary

ASI Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of an independent garage in Aldershot for a Service Administrator role. The position offers £28,000-£34,000 depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with 22 days holiday and a company pension.

You'll manage service bookings, prepare job cards, handle invoices and provide reception support, contributing to the smooth running of a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration, ideally within the automotive or motor trade sector.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using telephone, email and computer systems.
• Able to prioritise workloads, work independently and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage telephone and email enquiries, arrange MOT, servicing and repair bookings, and respond to customer queries.
• Coordinate workshop schedules, prepare job cards and maintain accurate vehicle and customer records.
• Order service parts in advance and liaise with technicians to monitor work in progress.
• Keep customers updated on repair progress, additional work and expected completion times.
• Prepare invoices, process payments and assist with outstanding account queries.
• Manage parts returns, supplier invoices and financial administration, including entering invoices into Xero.
• Monitor MOT and service reminders, update records and support new business enquiries.
• Provide reception support for customer drop-offs and collections when required.
