Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Automotive Quality Engineer in Burnley to safeguard quality across engineering and manufacturing activities. You will partner with teams to identify issues, drive process improvements, and ensure products meet exacting standards.

The role involves leading 8D reports, MRB reviews, and data-driven quality improvements across multiple business units, with a focus on PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation within a precision engineering environment.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in engineering preferred.
Experience with PFMEA, Control plan, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D and process capability required.
Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF 16949 highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of quality contact for specific customer accounts.
Support the completion of 8D reports and MRB reviews.
Chair weekly meetings to review non-conforming product and drive data-driven improvements.
Apply statistical tools (cp, MSA, SPC) to highlight risk and drive improvement.
Support PFMEA, control plan and PPAP documentation for new products.
Maintain internal calibration registers and participate in audits.
