Job summary

Lear Corporation in Coventry is seeking an experienced Automotive Quality Engineer to lead PPAP submissions, review and approve documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA) and ensure strict adherence to IATF 16949 and customer requirements across programs.

You will collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing and engineering teams, perform root-cause analysis, monitor process capability and KPIs, drive containment and corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the

Qualifications

Experience in automotive quality engineering.
Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA.
Understanding of IATF 16949 and automotive customer requirements.
Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate PPAP submission per customer requirements.
Prepare, review, and approve PPAP documentation.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and AIAG standards.
Support new product launches and engineering changes.
Coordinate activities with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering and customers.
Analyze quality issues using problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
Monitor process capability and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct internal audits and support customer audits.
Track quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
