Job summary

Percepta in Dunton, Essex is hiring an MP&L Operations Co-Ordinator to support the Ford Component Sales team. You will manage stock availability, backorders, and coordination with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of automotive components across the network.

The role requires experience in supply chain operations, strong organisational skills, and proficiency with ERP/inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Planning, Inventory Control, Purchasing or Customer Service.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing customer orders, stock movements, or supplier relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
• Experience using ERP, inventory management, purchasing or logistics systems.
• Knowledge of transport, customs, export documentation, or logistics operations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor part availability and manage customer backorders.
• Communicate stock availability and delivery updates to customers.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse teams, customers, and Ford stakeholders.
• Raise purchase orders and support replenishment activities.
• Investigate and resolve shortages, short shipments, damaged parts, and supplier delivery issues.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities.
• Support inventory management and stock accuracy processes.
• Maintain accurate records across supply chain and inventory systems.
