Job summary

Gordon Murray Automotive seeks an Industrial Engineer – Operations to own industrial performance across Structures, Paint, Assembly and End of Line. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations and cross-functional teams to ensure robust plans meet Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant manufacturing or industrial engineering degree preferred.
• Formal qualifications include A Levels, ONC, City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Governing and improving end-to-end industrial engineering performance across the vehicle value stream.
• Own HPC and standard labour content across Structures, Paint, Assembly and End of Line.
• Analyse actual vs plan hours, identify variances and implement root-cause actions.
• Develop glidepaths for HPC and CPU with actions, timing and owners.
• Translate programme volumes into labour, capacity and shift requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen and data-led problem solving.
• Produce industrial performance reports and make data-led recommendations for investments.
