Job summary

Gordon Murray Group seeks a Principal Engineer – Powertrain to lead the Powertrain function across Gordon Murray Automotive programmes, delivering design, development, calibration and global regulatory certification for ultra-low-volume powertrain systems.

You will provide leadership across engineering, programme delivery, supplier management and R&D, with responsibility for BoM, mass, design release timing and durable propulsion systems for production volumes up to 100 units per year.

Qualifications

• Extensive Powertrain leadership experience in high-performance or low-volume environments.
• Strong track record in base engine design, EMS calibration and emissions testing.
• Experience with EPA/CARB Small Volume Manufacturer schemes and EU/UK certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across Powertrain, delivering concept to production.
• Lead the engineering team in design, development and calibration of powertrain components.
• Direct certification efforts under EPA/CARB, EU and UK regulations and manage supplier interfaces.
