Job summary

Gordon Murray Automotive is seeking an Industrial Engineer - Operations to own and improve industrial performance across Structures, Paint, Assembly and End of Line. You will manage HPC, CPU, standard labour content, capacity, headcount and line balance while developing robust processes and work instructions.

You will drive data-led improvements, perform root cause analysis and support capital investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive manufacturing experience in a consultancy or OEM environment.
• Experience with HPC, standard labour content, capacity planning and productivity improvement.
• Experience of cost analysis and Cost Per Unit governance and its financial impact.
• Experience with production launches, ramp-ups and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own industrial engineering performance across Structures, Paint, Assembly and End of Line.
• Govern HPC and standard labour content across the value stream.
• Analyse CPU and identify quantified cost reduction opportunities.
• Develop glidepaths for HPC and CPU with timing, benefits and owners.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen/A3 and data-led problem solving.
