Job summary

System Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Automotive Electronics Repair Engineer to remanufacture and test a wide range of automotive electrical and electronic components in Coventry. The role involves fault finding, component-level repair, and ensuring work meets the highest quality standards.

You will work with established processes, follow HSE and QHSE guidelines, and maintain accurate records while developing skills in electronics repair and testing.

Job description

Well established automotive engineering firm requires an experienced Automotive Electronics Repair Engineer. You will be responsible for the remanufacture and testing of a wide range of automotive electrical and electronic components. This role involves fault finding, component-level repair, and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Proven experience in electronic fault finding to component level.
• Knowledge of PCB rework methods (soldering, reflow, and repair techniques).
• Ability to read and interpret electronic circuits and schematic drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with QHSE legislation and best practices.
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications (particularly Excel), or willingness to develop proficiency.

Qualifications (Preferred but not essential)

• Recognised qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Previous experience within automotive, defence, or related industries.
