Job summary

AAK Hull is seeking a Factory Operative—Automation and Warehouse—to ensure automated machinery runs safely and efficiently, supporting timely production. You will work on a 3-shift pattern, manage wrappers and stackers, and set up equipment during changeovers, collaborating with colleagues across departments.

The role requires experience in a similar manufacturing environment, a counterbalance forklift license, good communication, problem-solving, and the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience within a similar operative or manufacturing role.
• Counterbalance Forklift License required.
• Automation experience within a manufacturing role would be a plus.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with other departments and effectively as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Flexible approach to learning and developing new skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• A positive and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure automated machinery, wrappers and stackers are operating correctly and effectively.
• Make sure the correct product is sent to the correct production line.
• Set up automated machinery during changeovers.
• Communicate regularly with other departments to support effective operations.
• Work within the Goods In areas as required.
• Support the loading of lorries.
