Motiontech Lifetime Services in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to service and optimise high-automation material handling systems. You will join a skilled on-site team and work across planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding on complex conveyors and PLC-driven equipment.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights, weekends) and opportunities for overtime, with structured training and exposure to cutting-edge

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
• Proven maintenance experience in logistics, automation, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Experience with conveyors, drives, gearboxes, and pneumatics.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems
• Respond to breakdowns quickly, diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise downtime
• Fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and automated handling systems
• Use the CMMS to log maintenance activity and track performance data
