Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. at Crick, Northamptonshire is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer to maintain and optimise highly automated warehouse systems, including conveyors, sortation lines and AGVs.

You will diagnose faults, conduct root cause analysis and drive improvements in reliability and performance. You will work a Panama shift of 2-2-3 or 2-3-2, 07:00–19:00, in a fast-paced, safety‑conscious environment, supporting asset management, audits and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical and mechanical engineer with a recognised qualification
• Experience maintaining warehouse automation technologies
• Strong fault‑finding capabilities in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication across operational and technical teams
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance across automated warehouse equipment and systems
• Diagnose automation faults and perform root cause analysis
• Ensure all engineering activities are safe, efficient and align with site standards and KPIs
• Complete technical audits, maintenance records and engineering reports
• Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance equipment performance and efficiency
