Job summary

Rise10 Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Site Engineer in Northampton to maintain and support automated material handling equipment. The role requires mechanical and/or electrical maintenance expertise, with a focus on automation, control systems and fault finding.

A 4-on/4-off shift pattern (12-hour days/nights) applies, with ongoing training and development opportunities. Ideal candidates hold NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds/ONC/HNC qualifications and have CMMS experience, strong IT skills, and a

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds, ONC or HNC.
• Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
• Good understanding of automation and control systems.
• Experience fault finding on automated equipment.
• Experience using CMMS or computerised maintenance systems.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Understanding of continuous improvement principles.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Flexibility to work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern covering both days and nights.

Responsibilities

• Responding to equipment faults and resetting errors caused by product, equipment or operator issues.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Supporting automated equipment and control systems.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained and operating safely and efficiently.
