Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Shift Engineer for a flagship site in Burton-On-Trent. You will maintain and optimise state-of-the-art machinery at a distribution facility, with a 4 on/4 off shift pattern and 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am hours.

Salary around £50,264.68 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, PLC knowledge, NDT familiarity, and CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in electro-mechanical engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with NDT methods and technologies.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is advantageous.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• CMMS experience and engineering inventory management.
• HNC/HND preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical disassembly/reassembly, basic field wiring, calibration and testing.
• Manage CMMS to achieve high equipment utilization.
• Complete reactive repairs within target times to minimize downtime.
• Service and repair installed products with hands-on ownership.
• Interpret 415V motor controls and electrical schematics.
• Conduct risk assessments prioritizing health and safety.
• Read assembly drawings and follow setup instructions precisely.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
