Job summary

Swisslog (UK) Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the East Midlands Gateway. You will rotate 12-hour day and night shifts, performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of automated systems, including wrappers, conveyors and robotics.

Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs and safety PLCs is desirable. This role requires working at heights and strong communication across levels, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Happy to work at heights.
• This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• An understanding of PLC systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical breakdown and preventative maintenance on automated machinery (wrappers, conveyors, packaging equipment, pallet stacker cranes, robots).
• Service automated materials handling equipment per quality standards.
• Work with Siemens S7 and safety PLCs.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• Work at heights.
• Prioritise system faults and ensure output quality.
• Accurately record all work undertaken.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
