Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join an in-house distribution centre in West Bromwich. The role covers maintenance and installation of brand new equipment, with a 0600–1800, 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, carry out dynamic risk assessments, and log activities in the CMMS. The package includes £50,800 per annum, holiday, and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
• Experience working within a DC or Fulfilment Centre.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships across departments.
• Monitor site performance using KPIs and data to drive improvements.

Location West Bromwich, England Sector Engineering Salary £50,800.00 per annum

Shift Engineer - TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Shift Engineer to work for an inhouse supermarket maintenance team permanent basis. Within this role you will prioritise maintaining and installing brand new equipment across one of their distribution centres

• Location –West Brom
• Salary –£50,800/yr.
• Hours– 0600 – 1800 4 on 4 off. 3 weeks of days 1 week of nights.
• Overtime -Overtime is there at 1.5x

As a Maintenance Operative yourdutieswill be but not limited to

• Complete planned and reactive maintenance to a high standard, ensuring defects are repaired immediately or logged and scheduled for follow-up.
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and always work in accordance with health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, providing operational support across departments.
• Monitor site performance, availability and efficiency using KPIs and performance data to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage workload effectively to maximise productivity, delivering excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Investigate major equipment failures and outages, using root cause analysis (RCA) to identify corrective and preventative actions.
• Support site maintenance budgets by minimising waste, repairing and testing components for reuse where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CMMS, ensuring work orders, shift reports and asset information are up to date.
• Assist with spare parts and labour cost control, accurately recording usage to support effective budget management.

• Relevant experience working within a DC or Fulfilment Centre
