Job summary

Ocado Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on production equipment at our Erith facility. You will diagnose faults, log work in the CMMS, and contribute to root cause analysis to improve MHE performance.

The role is day-shift, on-site, and requires comfort working at height. A basic understanding of automation hardware/software and PLC/SCADA is beneficial, with formal engineering qualifications advantageous.

Qualifications

• A formal engineering related qualification would be advantageous
• You will have a basic technical understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be beneficial.
• Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with good organisation skills and ability to prioritise are essential
• Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, conveyors would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• carry out maintenance on production equipment in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs where possible.
• Update engineering records, including all work carried out, as well as supporting the identification of root cause of failures. Confirmation of spares and consumables will be part of your role along
• Ensuring the Computerised Maintenance Management System is updated with accurate data to meet Engineering KPIs.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyse engineering failures and find solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) performance.
• You will work on a days based shift pattern to support our operation and should be comfortable working at height
