Job summary

Tyler Mason Consultants is seeking an Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers) to maintain and repair automated systems across a nationwide customer base in the UK. The role involves fault diagnosis, PPM visits and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will work independently, manage workloads, and provide excellent service while building strong client relationships. Relevant DHF Level 2 qualification is required, with on-site duties and on-call standby arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters or similar automation systems.
• Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
• Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
• Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
• Accurate completion of service records and reports.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
