Job summary

Tyler Mason Consultants is seeking an Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers) to service and maintain a range of automated systems across the United Kingdom. The role involves breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and on-site servicing of gates, barriers, doors and shutters for a nationwide customer base.

The candidate must have experience with automation systems, strong electrical skills, and a valid UK driving licence, with a focus on safety standards and customer service.

Qualifications

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer, this role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
• Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
• Accurate completion of service records and reports.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.

Essential Requirements: Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers)

• Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters or similar automation systems.
• Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
• Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
