Job summary

Warburtons is seeking an experienced Software and Controls Engineer at our Eastwood site to lead automation and control improvements. You will maintain software/hardware, troubleshoot control systems, and drive reliability improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with a skilled engineering team, upskill junior engineers, and contribute to energy and downtime reduction initiatives while adhering to H&S and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

Strong drive to identify opportunities for equipment improvement.
Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of H&S and food-safety standards (PUWER/IOSH).
Structured engineering training (apprenticeship/HNC/degree).

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve automation software and control systems on site.
Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
Mentor and upskill engineers to PLC knowledge.
Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards across site.
