Warburtons in Enfield seeks an Asset Care Lead to support a team of six day-based Engineers. The role involves around 70% hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance across a highly automated FMCG facility, with SAP-based planning and strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will lead, coach and develop the team, coordinate shutdowns, and drive the Asset Care Strategy in collaboration with the Engineering Management team. A competitive package awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Leadership of a day-based engineering team with development plans.
• Knowledge of maintenance in FMCG/manufacturing environment preferred.
• H&S/food safety systems knowledge (IOSH) advisable.
• Structured and practical engineering training (apprenticeship/HNC/degree or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of six day-based Engineers and manage maintenance planning.
• Deliver planned and preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with company standards and legisla tion.
• Coordinate with shutdowns, ensuring parts availability and timely work.
• Manage contractor activity and handover between shifts.
• Drive the Asset Care Strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop team members and support performance reviews.
