Job summary

Liberty Specialty Markets in London is seeking a Portfolio Underwriter to help build a new autofollow portfolio from the ground up. You will lead underwriting and onboarding, applying a data-driven, algorithmic approach rather than case-by-case risk assessment.

You will collaborate across underwriting, actuarial, data science and portfolio management, negotiate with brokers, and use AI tools to speed submissions and portfolio monitoring.

Qualifications

• Strong underwriting background with delegated authority experience.
• Experience with portfolio-based strategies and AI tools.
• Ability to learn quickly and work across multiple problem domains.

Responsibilities

• Contribute underwriting and market insight to design target portfolio shape.
• Lead onboarding of new business, facilities and broker relationships.
• Apply AI tools to speed up submission triage and risk assessment.
• Negotiate terms with brokers and coverholders for new and renewal business.
• Ensure governance, controls and regulatory compliance.
