Job summary

Volvo Cars offers an Autocare Technician Standard apprenticeship (Level 2) up to 16 months in Leatherhead. The programme blends hands-on service training with remote classroom learning, covering diagnostics, vehicle inspection and safe isolation of electric/hybrid systems.

Successful applicants will travel to the Volvo Training and Development Centre in Daventry for training blocks; travel, accommodation and meals are fully covered.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for hands-on vehicle maintenance and learning.
• Ability to follow checklists and maintain records.
• Willingness to travel to training centre as required.
• Care for safety and quality in servicing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems for correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical vehicle parts.
• Perform bumper-to-bumper service and inspection.
• Maintain electronic systems including on-board entertainment.
• Complete clear paperwork for customers and records.
• Keep a clean and tidy work environment.
