Job summary

Volvo Cars is offering an Endeavour Volvo Slough Auto Care Technician Apprenticeship. The programme, Autocare Technician Standard (Level 2), develops hands-on skills as a Service Technician/Mechanic across traditional, hybrid and electronic engines.

You will learn to use diagnostic equipment, test parts, follow checklists, perform bumper-to-bumper inspections, maintain electronic systems, and complete clear records, while training in a supportive, diverse environment at the Slough centre.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working
• Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection
• Maintenance of electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems
• Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records
• Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment

Every day is different within the Service department. As a Service Technician/Mechanic apprentice, some of your duties will include:
