Job summary

Sapphire Utility Solutions, part of the Lanes Group, is seeking a Civil AutoCAD technician with solid UK water industry infrastructure experience to join our team in Sheffield. You will produce detailed AutoCAD drawings for below-ground water projects and work with minimal supervision while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
• Must have water industry background.
• Knowledge of wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
• Good numerical, analytical and IT skills.
• Ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members.
• Desirable: HND Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD drawings for below ground water infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
• Ensure compliance with company and client drawing standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Deliver drawings on time and to required quality; document control.
• Undertake site visits to gather information and data.

AutoCAD Technician – Water Infrastructure

We are looking to recruit a Civil AutoCAD technician with good UK water industry infrastructure experience. The candidate should be technically proficient, able to work with own initiative, possess a high level of independence and have excellent communication skills.

Location: Sheffield

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week.

Salary: Up to £40,000

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• Preparation of AutoCAD drawings for various below ground water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
• Ensure compliance with company and client drawing standards.
• Ability to read and determine information from drawings, schedules and specification.
• To be aware of work requirements and take personal responsibility in delivering drawings to agreed time and quality requirements.
• Undertaking site visits to gather information and data.
• Document control.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
• Must have water industry background.
• Knowledge and experience of wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
• Good appreciation of design delivery, health, safety and environmental processes.
• Good numerical, analytical and IT skills.
• The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members.

Desirable

• HND Civil Engineering or equivalent
