Job summary

Sapphire Utility Solutions, part of the Lanes Group, is recruiting a gully wagon operator based in Andover. You will drive and operate high-spec jetting and vacuum units on reactive contracts, working with an operative, and may cover ground on foot in restrictive spaces.

You will use a tablet, maintain safety, and liaise with customers while updating electronic records. A CPC licence is desirable; HGV class 2 with clean license required; overtime paid at time and a half; full training provided.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 driving license required, max 6 points.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Team oriented mindset with collaborative approach.
• Proficient IT skills and accurate data entry.
• CPC Licence is desirable.

Job description

Location: Andover, Hampshire.

Hours: 50 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm.

Salary: £37,000-£44,000 per annum (depending on experience and tickets) Overtime paid at X1.5 on top of base salary.

About the Role:

Working on a variety of different reactive contracts, you will be driving our gully wagons, working closely with an operative to clean along the highways. This role can be physically demanding as you will be required to cover a lot of ground on foot as well as working in restrictive spaces. Use of a tablet is also a requirement of the role; therefore, you will need to have knowledge of using them.

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• You will be working closely in a team of 2 operating high specification jetting and vacumation units.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
• Liaising with customers.
• Updating electronical records.
• Ensuring safety issues are reported.
• Vehicle and Jetting Equipment checks

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV class 2 driving license essential (no more than 6 points)
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Team player
• Competent in IT, accurate data entry
• CPC Licence is desirable
