GTG Training are recruiting an Apprentice Mechanic in Fauldhouse for a 3-year Modern Apprenticeship. You will work full time in a garage workshop and earn while you learn, with week-block release at the training centre and in-work assessments to build practical skills.
During the apprenticeship you will study to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, and you must have National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.

The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment. As well as attending the training centre for week block release of training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship.
You will be based within the garage workshop and will be involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace with dedicated mentors from GTG and the apprentice’s workplace, which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship. During the 3 year apprenticeship, candidates will train through GTG to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.
