Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Shrewsbury is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our independent workshop team. You will perform routine servicing, complex mechanical overhauls, systematic diagnostic fault-finding using modern equipment, and preventative maintenance across customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with proven garage experience.
• Solid knowledge of diagnostics, routine maintenance and mechanical repair.
• DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools required.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skill level)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (100% WEEKEND FREEDOM with strictly zero weekend shifts required!)

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our established independent workshop team. You will carry out routine servicing, complex mechanical overhauls, systematic diagnostic fault-finding using modern equipment, and preventative maintenance across customer vehicles to high industry standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with proven garage experience
• Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
• Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card (Class 4/7) or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
