Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an Autism (ASC/ASD) Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-19 with autism and related needs in Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll assist in classrooms, promote engagement with tasks, and encourage independent learning, while also supporting personal care as needed.

Experience with MAPA/Team Teach is advantageous; candidates should be resilient and capable of working with pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviours.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD/ASC and comorbid conditions.
• Experience with primary and secondary pupils with EBD.
• Able to perform personal care for SEN children.
• MAPA or Team Teach experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Help manage behaviour and promote independence.
• Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
