Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an Autism (ASC / ASD) Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 5-19 with a range of learning difficulties, in Stoke on Trent.

You will help pupils engage with tasks set by the class teacher, manage behaviour, promote confidence and independence, and may provide personal care where needed. MAPA/Team Teach experience is beneficial. The role involves working in a variety of SEN settings across partner schools.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils ASC/ASD and comorbid ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or mental health needs.
• Confident in working with children who can display challenging behaviours.
• MAPA or Team Teach experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 5-19 with ASD/LD in classroom activities.
• Help pupils engage with tasks and manage behaviour.
• Provide personal care for SEN pupils when required.
