Job summary

Compassionate Care seeks a dedicated Support Worker to assist an adult with Autism/Asperger's in his own home in the Knutsford area. Shifts are 42 hours, including sleeps, on a rolling 2-on/6-off rota, starting at 10am. You’ll provide companionship, encourage activities, and promote independence.

The role requires empathy, excellent communication, and a driver with your own vehicle. No personal care is involved, but you’ll join in meals and daily activities with a calm, supportive presence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Mental Health or Autism preferred but not essential.
• Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication abilities.
• Able to promote independence and engage in client’s interests.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Client with Autism/Asperger's needs.
• Promoting and supporting personal interests.
• Supporting with medication.
• Arranging social activities in the home and in the local community.
