Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Hounslow to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant for their ARP unit. This full-time, ongoing role supports pupils with autism and other SEND in a nurturing mainstream setting.

You will work with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning plans, assist with routines, and support behaviour and communication development. A DBS and relevant training are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, especially autism.
• Patience, empathy, and consistent support approach.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND (primarily ASD) in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans.
• Assist with daily routines, sensory regulation and behaviour support.
• Help build pupil confidence, independence and communication skills.
