Job summary

Presfield High School & Specialist College is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA2) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASC. The role is fixed term (12 months to 31 August 2027) and part-time, totaling 31 hours per week during term time plus 1 week.

The successful candidate will join a safeguarding-conscious school, focused on inclusive education and student wellbeing. Experience in SEN is desirable; motivation, resilience, and the right personal qualities are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN environment desirable.
• Motivation, personal qualities and resilience are important.
• Ability to work 31 hours per week during term time.

Responsibilities

• Targeted learning support for a pupil with ASC.
• Adaptive interventions to ensure access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with teaching and senior leadership to manage classroom and behaviour.
• Deliver inclusive supervision to pupils with SEN to promote progress.
