Job summary

Sedgemoor Manor School is seeking a versatile Teaching Assistant to join our Education team. You will support pupils with autism across key stages, assist the class teacher, and help with engagement and learning through strong relationships and tailored strategies. Training is provided and safeguarding checks are required.

We value resilience, flexibility, and a proactive approach, with opportunities for development within a specialist day school environment serving ages 7–19.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or carer would be beneficial, but willingness to learn is key.
• Ability to support learning across key stages and adapt practice.
• Experience with autism and complex needs would be advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils and young people with their work and engagement.
• Support with pupil learning through establishing relationships and strategies from the pupil education and health care plan.
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver the specialist curriculum.
