Job summary

Sedgemoor Manor School is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team. You will work with teachers and therapists to support pupils in small groups and deliver specialist activities aligned with individual education plans.

We value versatile, resilient and committed individuals who can build trusting relationships with students and families. Training and ongoing development are provided within Aspris Children’s Services.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or carer is beneficial, with training provided.
• Willingness to learn and strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience supporting children with autism and complex needs is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils alongside the class teacher to deliver learning across key stages.
• Assist with pupil engagement and implementing pupil education and health care plan strategies.
• Contribute to effective teaching and learning, social and independence activities.
