Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is assisting a South London school to recruit an Autism Support Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time position. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with autism, implementing personalised strategies and promoting inclusion.

The role focuses on one-to-one and small group support, developing communication and emotional regulation, and using visual supports and PECS where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with autism in school or care settings.
• Calm, empathetic and resilient attitude.
• Knowledge of visual supports, sensory regulation, or PECS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Implement individual education plans and tailored strategies.
