Job summary

Autism East Midlands is seeking a Community Autism Support Worker to assist autistic individuals in the Derbyshire area (Chesterfield, Derby, Ripley). Roles available full-time, part-time and casual, with training provided and no prior experience required.

Expect holistic support, routine monitoring, and activities that promote independence and community integration. You will work with the team to implement person-centred plans, respect privacy and safety rules, and adapt to varied daily needs.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training will be provided.
• Right attitude, good values and willingness to develop skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across the rota and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic support including personal care, integration into the local community and managing anxieties.
• Support service users with activities they enjoy and encourage independent living skills.
• Maintain high standards of care, IPC and confidentiality; keep records up to date.
