Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards)
• Experience working with autistic pupils.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and how to adapt for SEND learners.
• A genuine passion for working with neurodiverse children and young people.
• Understanding of autism-specific strategies and emotional regulation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, supportive class team to deliver bespoke, engaging and highly differentiated curriculum tailored to each pupil.
• Central to pupils' learning journey — helping them build skills, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support autistic pupils in a specialist provision.
