Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is partnering with a Streatham primary school to recruit an exceptional SEN Teacher for their specialist autism provision. The role involves leading a small class of six preverbal pupils with significant communication and learning needs, delivering a highly personalised curriculum tailored to each child.

You will work closely with SEN teaching assistants and external professionals to monitor progress, adapt learning to EHCP targets, and create a calm, sensory-aware

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching children with Autism, ASC or ASD and complex SEN requested.
• Ability to deliver highly personalised and creative learning for preverbal pupils.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teach a class of six autistic pupils within a specialist primary school provision.
• Deliver highly differentiated and personalised learning activities.
• Support preverbal children using alternatives such as PECS or AAC.
• Create a calm, sensory-aware learning environment.
• Collaborate with SEN Teaching Assistants and external professionals.
• Adapt learning to meet EHCP targets and developmental needs.
• Monitor progress and celebrate each child’s achievements.
