Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in Whitley Bay. You will work on a 1:1 basis with pupils with autism, support communication activities, encourage social interaction, and help with sensory regulation alongside teachers and therapists.

All applicants will require relevant qualifications and DBS checks; the role offers ongoing safeguarding training through Protocol Education.

Autism Support Assistant – Whitley Bay (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision in Whitley Bay. The setting supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and communication needs through structured routines, personalised support and specialist interventions.

You'll help learners develop confidence, social skills and independence while supporting them throughout their school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
